The dark theme of all dark themes. I've tried others but this has been mine for ~4 years now. Best of the rest: Signed Dark Pro. Also a proper dark theme, but its code colour scheme is a bit too colourful, overshadowing the darkness. I know I could tweak it, but I've got Night Owl Black No Italics, and that is all anyone needs. Reply reply
Dark themes.....it's a joke, and light themes. I have always wanted to download EVERY theme for any IDE, say VSCODE, then analyse the RGB values as these daysa, they all look the same but have stupid names... it would be interesting to see how little variation there is across the entire input set of themes.
Light mode for days, dark mode for nights. VSCode supports setting light and dark themes separately and can switch between them depending on the system theme. On Windows, I use Auto Dark Mode to switch the theme based on the day-night cycle or lighting condition.
What are your favourite VS Code themes? Looking for a new theme that has good syntax highlighting to help me easily separate the different parts of my code. Any suggestions on what people use? Is there one go-to theme?
Coding with light themes. I cant be the only one prefer to code under light themes? Sure dark themes are beautiful, but after awhile, you end up admiring the colors too much. When i want to get work done, I want to focus 100%. Just my 2c. Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast.
Hi! For the last three years, I noticed that working with VS Code dark themes has noticeably worsened my vision (I use One Dark Pro Darker). For now, I will try to switch to light themes to see any difference. Have you ever had a similar experience? Do you have any good recommendations for dark/light themes that are the best keeping in mind vision?
White mode vs Dark mode in IDE, Editor I have astigmatism and wearing glasses for about the past 6 years. I have always been using white mode in my IDE for the past several years. Most of my teammates are using dark mode saying that its better for eyes. I tried to switch to the dark mode a couple of times, but I could not last long.
I made versions of VS Code Dark and Light myself. I went through the source code to look up the values, so I'll have to check that I came up with the same values. While Campbell is an improvement over the Vintage colors, I really liked the VS Code integrated terminal colors.
